Quarantine/Isolation Guidelines from the McLennan County Medical Society

When determining whether you are permitted to come to the clinic, please abide by these guidelines. Please note that we are not enforcing our usual late cancellation policy if you cannot come to the clinic according to these guidelines. We always appreciate as much advanced notice as possible, however, so that we can make your appointment slot available to someone else.

  • You have tested positive for COVID-19 (whether you have symptoms or not): You must be released from isolation by a physician before coming to the clinic.
  • You have symptom(s) of COVID-19 but your test is negative: Please do not come to the clinic until it has been 10 days since onset of your symptoms, you’ve gone 3 days without fever (without the aid of fever-reducing medication), and you’ve experienced clear improvement in symptoms.
  • You have symptom(s) of COVID-19 but you have not been tested: Please do not come to the clinic until it has been 10 days since onset of your symptoms, you’ve gone 3 days without fever (without the aid of fever-reducing medication), and you’ve experienced clear improvement in symptoms.
  • You had close contact with a person with COVID-19 but you have no symptoms: Please do not come to the clinic until it has been 14 days from your last contact with the COVID-19-positive individual.
  • You are waiting for COVID-19 test results: Please do not come to the clinic until you have received your results and then follow guidelines above.
